Vision Technician
Mindy has given 8 years to optical medicine, serving as an optician and optical trainer in Ohio. (Go, Bucks!) Prior to that, she was a primary school teacher and worked at a non-profit organization in charge of Pre-K classrooms in the state of Florida. Mindy graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Elementary Education.
Since vision is an essential factor in everyday life, Mindy enjoys assisting patients to achieve their best quality of life through vision therapy.
Besides spending time with her husband and two dogs, Mindy enjoys long walks, hiking, reading, and making homemade pizza on Friday nights!

Vision Technician
Kim graduated from Wingate College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services. She spent 17 years with Horry County Schools in Autism Services.
Kim feels that our dedicated staff follows Dr. Dean's lead as he is personally involved in each patient's treatment program. She says, "Vision therapy enhances visual skills, which helps patients to achieve more comfortable vision. In turn, this will contribute to a better quality of life."
When she isn't working with patients, Kim enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren, reading, horseback riding, and taking trips to the mountains.
Triage & Marketing
Cheryl comes to us from the field of education as a former assistant principal, librarian, and teacher. She holds both Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Go, Gamecocks!
After meeting Dr. Dean at a school workshop, Cheryl was so impressed by learning how he and his staff help children with vision related learning issues. After retiring from teaching, she joined our staff to help coordinate our therapy program.
In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys watching movies with her husband and dog, as well as visiting her son in Spartanburg. Hobbies she enjoys are reading, knitting, baking, and beading.

PCC Billing & Insurance Specialist
Teresa is our resident expert in dealing with health insurance. She graduated from Anderson Junior College in 1988.

Teresa enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Lucy.
Melanie has over 16 years of experience in customer service and uses those skills to help keep patients motivated to achieve their vision therapy goals. She also brings experience as a former American Sign Language interpreter.
Besides spending time with her husband and dog, Ellie, Melanie enjoys video and board games, period piece books and shows, and cooking for her friends and family.
Vision Therapist
Dana graduated with honors from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary Education. She has 20 years of classroom teaching experience and in remedial reading. While in the classroom, Dana became interested in vision therapy, and after moving to the Grand Strand from New Jersey, she has decided to further that interest by joining our staff!
She enjoys an active lifestyle with her husband and her twins, a boy, and a girl! Some of her favorite things include hummingbirds, golf, reading, baking, stamping, pickleball, scrapbooking and exploring.
Office Manager, Patient Care Coordinator
Libby has over 30 years of professional office management and leadership experience, with a strong background in healthcare.
She graduated from Frederick Community College with a degree in Sociology.
She is the friendly voice greeting our patients and guiding them through the initial phase of the therapy program. She is committed to providing quality care to our patients She ensures the smooth operation of the front office with her knowledge of scheduling, medical records, insurance authorizations, and patient inquiries The need for timely access to the services we provide is very important to Libby.
